Meet the Leaders
Guided by Faith. Rooted in Love. Committed to Each Child.
Meet Ms. Rebecca
Elementary Guide | The Lighthouses (Ages 5.5 - 9)
Guided by a Master’s-Trained, K–6 Certified Educator with a Deep Love for Jesus and Children
I’m a certified teacher with a master’s degree in education and over a decade of experience working with children in a variety of settings, including three years in the public school classroom.
As the Lead Guide, I implement a seasonal, nature-based rhythm that brings the community together while honoring each child’s unique stage of growth. Rooted in my faith in Jesus, I am passionate about helping children develop a deep reverence for God’s creation through hands-on exploration, outdoor learning, and meaningful play.
I blend research-based approaches to reading, writing and math with creative, whole-brain learning so that curiosity and strong foundations can grow together. My work is also shaped by restorative practices, guiding children through conflict with empathy, clear communication, and a spirit of forgiveness.
I believe childhood should be filled with wonder. Children learn best when they are free to get messy, take risks, ask questions, and truly enjoy the process of learning. I strive to create a warm, peaceful environment where each child feels seen, supported, and encouraged to grow at their own pace.
Outside of the collective, I love spending time in nature, especially birding, baking for my cookie business, reading, and being with my husband, our two cats, and the people we love.
It is a joy to partner with families in cultivating curious minds, resilient hearts and a lifelong love of learning.
