Our Mission

Light of the World exists to place God back at the center of childhood, family and learning.

We partner with parents, who are the primary educators, to nurture children academically, spiritually and emotionally through Christ-led guidance, purposeful play and a community rooted in truth, service and love.

Our mission is to restore the beauty of family, strengthen the faith of the next generation and shine light into our homes, neighborhoods and world.

Why Homeschool?

Most moms never imagine homeschooling especially if you moved for the “good schools.” But today, homeschooling is no longer the kitchen-chalkboard stereotype.

It’s parents reclaiming the God-given role of shaping their children’s hearts, minds, faith and worldview.

It’s stepping off the rushed, noisy, screen-driven treadmill and choosing peace, presence, safety and values rooted in Christ.

And it doesn’t mean staying home all day.

Homeschooling opens your world and Light of the World exists to make that possible. Here, children learn through real-life experiences, nature, service, creative play and community. Families gain support, connection and a rhythm that feels human again.

We nurture curiosity, protect innocence, strengthen families and help children grow in truth, confidence and faith.

Homeschooling isn’t withdrawing it’s a calling. And Light of the World is here to walk that calling with you; to equip you, support you and create a God-centered community where your family can truly flourish.

Our Philosophy

We believe God designed parents to be the primary teachers of their children’s hearts, minds and worldview.

At Light of the World, children are supported in their learning through reading, writing, math, science, nature study and the arts, with guidance from experienced adults who honor each child’s pace and God-given design.

Our Christ-centered, tech-free, peaceful environment nurtures the whole child: spiritually, emotionally, academically and creatively.

The Light of the World Parent Collective is a Christ-centered community designed to support families both inside and beyond the learning pod.

Here, parents come together not only for faith-based education, but for connection, encouragement, and shared growth. The Collective serves as an outlet for families seeking:

• Guidance and resources for homeschooling and world schooling
• Prayer and support during challenging seasons of family life
• Community gatherings that foster meaningful relationships
• Learning opportunities beyond the pod environment
